Piezoelectric Quartz Copper Wrapped Voltage Bullet Jewelry Pendant

  • $ 3250

I combined a recycled 32 caliber silver bullet shell casing with a natural clear quartz crystal. I added antique Esterbrook steel pen nibs and tiny carnelian spheres to the points. I then wrapped it with copper wire. This comes with a 24 inch antiqued silver chain. I think it looks like an electricity collecting machine from an old movie. A great accessory for Steampunk and cosplay events.

Many people don't believe that quartz crystals have any special energies or abilities. However, the scientific community began studying quartz crystals as far back as the 17th century. In 1880 Jacques and Pierre Curie discovered the piezoelectric properties of quartz. When pressure is applied to a crystal, energy is released in the form of heat, light and electrical voltage. This is called piezoelectricity. This effect causes the crystal to vibrate, making it pyroelectric as well. This property is the reason that quartz was once used in radios and other transmitters, and synthetic crystals are still used in electronic devices such as watches and computers today.

Carnelian promotes personal power and can protect the wearer from negative energy. In ancient times, people would keep carnelian in their houses to prevent curses from being directed at their families. Legend has it that carnelian is used by wizards to strengthen magical powers.

The use of copper dates back nearly 10,000 years. It was probably the first metal to be used for decorative items and also weapons. Ancient Egyptians developed copper-working techniques as early as 3900 BC.

An original Beautiful Bullets design. I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones and vintage glass. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.

I started my bullet jewelry line as a peace project, and I continue to donate part of the sale to different charities. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these designs and made that possible.
