Rogerley Fluorite Color Change Crystal Bullet Necklace
I combined a natural blue green fluorite gemstone with a recycled 25 caliber brass bullet shell casing. This comes with a 24 inch gold plated chain. The stone is from the Rogerley Mine and has both blue and green shades inside the same crystal. It has natural inclusions.
Many samples of fluorite glow under ultraviolet light. Those from the Rogerley Mine in Durham, England fluoresce a bright blue. They are also a color changing fluorite, going from an emerald green to a cobalt blue, depending on the light source, be it artificial or sunlight.
The Rogerley Mine is located in the historic Weardale mining District of Northern England. First discovered by Lindsay Greenbank and Mike Sutcliffe in the early 1970's, it is to date, the only mine in all of Britain to be worked on a commercial scale solely for the recovery of crystallized mineral specimens.
Fluorite helps in aligning all the chakra, and it is a powerful healing stone. It enhances spiritual energy work, focuses the will and balances the psyche. It increases concentration and helps with decision making. Fluorite is said to absorb and neutralize negative vibrations. It is known as the "Genius Stone". Green Fluorite represents growth and adventure. It is helpful in dealing with high stress situations, and is also a good grounding stone.
Stones listed as natural, raw, or rough may have some imperfections and inclusions. Be sure to check all photos, including the zoom feature, for details about a particular stone. Please see photo with ruler for size. Colors may vary with individual monitors.
Many stones are susceptible to fading, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Do not use hot water or salt water to clean them. An original Beautiful Bullets design. I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones and vintage glass. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.
I started my bullet jewelry line as a peace project, and I continue to donate part of the sale to different charities. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these designs and made that possible.
