Silver Hill Tribe Crescent Moon and Rainbow Moonstone Beads Pendant
A Hill Tribe hand hammered antiqued silver crescent moon with two types of etched stars and border pattern. I added faceted rainbow moonstone beads to the bail and a pewter open star charm. This comes with a 24 inch antiqued silver plated chain. The moon was hand cut by the Thailand Hill Tribe from tin, hammered into a crescent shape, and the design star etched into the metal. It was then plated with sterling silver and given an antique finish. The moonstone beads have blue iridescent flash.
The moon has different phases and those phases affect us in different ways. The crescent moon symbolizes new beginnings and dreams come true. The waxing moon represents the Maiden Goddess and can bring positive change, creative influences, and good fortune. The continuing cycles of the moon bring rebirth and renewal to us every month.
The moon and star symbols have also been used together for thousands of years by many different cultures. What better way for ancient people to bring their gods down from the heavens and hold them close to worship and cherish. These bright celestial bodies that stood in the sky night after night represented both consistency and the passage of time as their positions changed throughout the days and seasons of the year.
