Vintage Sterling Silver Quartz Crystal Ball Poison Pendant Necklace
A beautiful vintage sterling silver quartz crystal ball pendant. The pendant opens with a latch on the side to reveal a small secret compartment. The crackle quartz crystal ball is set inside a bezel with milgrain beading and an abstract scalloped pattern around the edge. It is approximately 20mm in diameter and the crystal ball has rainbow prisms.
There is a bail attached to the pendant that has milgrain detailing as well. Both chain and pendant are marked 925. The chain is 17.5 inches long. The silver has a nice patina. The secret compartment may have originally been intended for poison, but it could also be used to hold tiny treasures such as herbs, crystals, a photo, or a piece of paper.
