Tanzanite Gemstones Floating Crystal Shaker Double Sided Glass Locket Necklace

  • $ 5500

I used a vintage silver plated coin bezel setting and inserted vintage mineral glass watch crystals, with natural violet blue Tanzanite faceted gemstones in between them, to create a floating crystal shaker pendant. I then added blue chalcedony rondelle crystal beads to the bail to create a lavalier style pendant. Comes with a 24 inch 925 silver filled chain. A very sparkly and eye-catching necklace that is sure to attract attention. These are glass, not plastic, so some care should be given while wearing. The bezel setting is 25mm in diameter.

Tanzanite was first discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, Africa. The mineral was named by Tiffany & Co. after Tanzania, the country in which it was discovered. It is a rare gem that is found only in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite is the bluish-purple variety of Zoisite. It often appears to change color when seen under different lighting conditions. It is more blue under fluorescent light and more violet under incandescent light. Tanzanite in its rough state is usually a reddish brown color. It requires heat treatment to bring out the blue violet of the stone. Weight of Tanzanite stones is approximately 2 ct.

Tanzanite is useful for turning negative emotions into positive ones. It can instill quiet and calmness, reduce stress, and may help with depression and anxiety. It is often used in communication with spirit, and aids in visualization and meditation.

Chalcedony is a speaker's stone and is said to encourage reflection and meditation to ensure thoughtful words. It can absorb and dissipate negative energy, and it opens the mind to new ideas.
