A vintage handmade rainforest jasper beaded necklace with natural polished beads. It has small silver spacer beads and a silver alloy clasp. The jasper has patterns of green, gold, gray, tan, white, and red. The jasper beads are approximately 18x13mm and the necklace is 30 inches long. Rainforest jasper is also called rhyolite jasper. 

Jasper is known to have been a favorite gem in the ancient world; its name can be traced back in Hebrew, Assyrian, Persian, Greek and Latin. The name means "spotted or speckled stone".
