Welcome. I hope you will find things here that interest you. Many of my items are OOAK {one of a kind}. The photos of my items are enlarged for detail. That is why I always use a ruler in the picture or note the measurements in the listing, so that you know the exact size. Please be sure to verify this before you buy, to avoid disappointment when the item is smaller than it looked in the photo.

Stones listed as natural, raw, or rough may have some imperfections and inclusions. Be sure to check all photos, including the zoom feature, for details about a particular stone. Colors may vary with individual monitors. Many stones are susceptible to fading, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Do not use hot water or salt water to clean them. Stone properties and descriptions are for informational purposes only and do not offer any guaranteed outcomes. Also, they are not intended as a substitute for medical care.

Please remember that my jewelry designs may not be completely waterproof because I sometimes use eco-friendly adhesive and glaze. Do not wear while bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Do not apply perfume or other chemicals while wearing.

A polishing cloth is the best thing for cleaning and shining metal jewelry. Storing your jewelry inside some type of container will help protect it and keep it from tarnishing.

Caring for Steampunk and Neo Victorian Jewelry

Steampunk Jewelry is in reality the epitomé of Green Jewelry. The art of creating altered art pieces from vintage watch movements is the ultimate form of recycled design. Unfortunately, two of the main types of metal used in these Neo Victorian pieces are copper and brass, and wearing them can turn your finger, wrist, and neck green. Both of these metals react to sweat and to moisture, but there are a few things you can to do to prevent that green tinge from showing up on your skin.

First, be sure to keep the jewelry clean, and give it a dusting of powder before you wear it. For pieces that come into close contact with your skin such as rings, you can use one or two coats of clear nail polish. This can wear off in time, so you might need to reapply the polish again later. You should try to keep your skin as dry as possible when wearing Steampunk jewelry by using a handkerchief, or by using some type of matte finish makeup or oil blotter. I often use a very light polish of lemon oil on my brass and copper chains. This cleans them and gives them a nice shiny finish as well. Be sure to wipe off all excess oil before wearing the chains, as it could stain your clothing.

While every care has been given to secure these designs with glue, lacquer, and other fixatives, they may not be completely water-proof. Please do not wear while bathing, showering, or swimming. Do not use harsh chemicals such as hairspray or perfume while wearing.

Many stones are susceptible to fading, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Do not use hot water, salt water, or solvents like alcohol to clean them.
