Red White and Blue Starburst Glass Bullet Jewelry Pendant

  • $ 2500

I have combined a recycled 45 caliber silver bullet shell casing with a vintage chevron rosetta star cane glass bead. The bead is in shades of red, white, and blue, and has a red star with crystal on the end. This comes with a 24 inch antiqued silver chain.

Caneworking is a glassblowing technique that is used to add intricate patterns and stripes to blown glass objects. Furnace glass uses large decorated canes built up out of smaller canes, encased in clear glass and then extruded to form beads with linear and twisting stripe patterns.

Chevron or rosetta star glass beads were first made during the 15th century in Venice and Murano Italy. Most of these beads, along with millefiori beads were made for export to countries in Africa and the Americas. They were used as currency to exchange for goods and services and were often called trade beads.

An original Beautiful Bullets design. I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones, vintage glass, and other items. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.

Part of the proceeds is donated to charity. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these designs and made that possible.
