Mahogany Obsidian Natural Wire Wrapped Crystal Pendant Necklace

  • $ 3000

I wrapped a natural polished mahogany obsidian crystal with flat silver aluminum wire. This comes with a 24 inch silver filled chain. Pure obsidian is usually dark in appearance, though the color varies depending on the presence of impurities. Mahogany obsidian is a volcanic crystal that contains inclusions of magnetite, an iron oxide that is dark red in color, combined with dark brown or black.

Obsidian can be found in Canada, Greece, Italy, Iceland, Kenya, Japan, Mexico, the U.S., and other areas with volcanic activity. In ancient times it was often used to make cutting tools, and as such, Obsidian can have a forceful cutting reality. The blackness of this stone enhances the ability to reach your inner self. It is one of the earliest known stones to be used for scrying.

Obsidian can guard against negative energy and helps with grounding of emotions. It lessons feelings of doubt and suspicion and aids in the mental healing process. It allows you to let go of old grudges and misunderstandings between loved ones. Obsidian is often called the “wizard stone” because it has been used since ancient times for magical purposes.

Mahogany obsidian is a good stone to use for cleansing and purification. It can help to release and disperse negative influences and patterns that may be destructive. Like most obsidians, it is a very protective crystal and can be used for shielding as well as grounding. Mahogany obsidian is useful in relieving tension and stress from the body. It can aid in overcoming fear and give you new strength and personal power, as it provides balance and stability.
