A kaleidoscope is a cylinder with mirrors that contains colored objects such as bits of glass. They are often made of brass, wood, or glass. As you look through one end, light enters the other, which creates a prism effect from the reflection of the mirrors.

The name kaleidoscope was coined in 1817 by Sir David Brewster, a Scottish inventor. It is derived from the ancient Greek phrase "kalos eidos skopeo", which means "to see beautiful forms".

Brewster was conducting experiments on light polarization when he invented the kaleidoscope. Manufacturing began in 1817, and it proved to be such a success that 200,000 kaleidoscopes were sold in London and Paris in just three months. It was originally intended as a scientific tool, but was later copied as a toy.

The color red has always represented life and vitality. It symbolizes the blood that flows within our body and the element of fire. Red can represent passion or anger, love or war. It is a color with strong associations.

Most cultures have used the heart symbol in some form. It is considered to be the center of thought, emotion, and the soul; the very center of one's being.
