A pair of vintage Baltic amber clip-on earrings. Each earring measures approximately 22x17mm. One of the amber scarabs is slightly darker than the other. They are marked 925 on the clip and have a nice patina. The backs have a pattern around the oval rim. The earrings are in excellent condition. The clip backs are strong enough that one earring could be worn as a pendant if you wish. The amber glows orange and green under UV light and attracts dust or lint when rubbed against cloth.

Although it is an organic material, amber is valued as a gemstone. Sometimes plants, insects or even small mammals may be found in the fossilized resin. Baltic amber comes in a variety of colors including gold, brown, yellow, red, and green.
