Mother of Pearl Natural Horn Bullet Jewelry Pendant Necklace
A recycled 25 caliber brass bullet shell casing holds a natural mother of pearl cornicello little horn point. I wrapped the shell casing it with square silver wire and added a 24 inch silver filled chain.
Mother of pearl is often associated with the moon and the goddess as well. Because of the natural growth pattern, mother of pearl can represent knowledge gained through layers of wisdom and understanding attained over a lifetime of learning. Mother of pearl can relieve stress and provide a calm and soothing atmosphere. It may help in letting go of past emotions and psychological scars.
The little horn or cornicello is an Italian amulet worn to protect against the evil eye. It is a symbol that originally resembled the twisted horn of an African eland and was said to bring good fortune. In ancient times it was most likely sacred to the moon goddess.
An original Beautiful Bullets design. I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones and vintage glass. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.
I started my bullet jewelry line as a peace project, and I continue to donate part of the sale to different charities. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these designs and made that possible.
